DirectTrust recently announced the GTAB accreditation of Kansas City-based iShare Medical as a Fully Accredited Governmental Trust Anchor.
iShare Medical is now uniquely qualified to provide trusted exchange of medical records with 23 Federal government agencies, including Medicare, Medicaid, Indian Health Services, and the Veterans Administration.

The DirectTrust Governmental Trust Anchor Bundle (“GTAB”) facilitates interoperability (the ability to exchange medical records and use the information that has been exchanged) between governmental agencies and private sector health care providers. DirectTrust created a special Governmental Trust Anchor Bundle to meet the more rigorous regulatory requirements of federal agencies, after more than a year of meetings between DirectTrust and the Veteran’s Administration, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Federal Health Architecture (a government agency that defines technical standards for exchanging medical data see https://www.healthit.gov/policy-researchers-implementers/federal-partners). All participants in the bundle must successfully achieve GTAB accreditation status, meet all requirements of the Accredited Trust Anchor Bundle Standard Operating Procedures, and meet the set of profile requirements described by the GTAB’s standard operating procedure, including adherence with the Federal Health Architecture and cross-certification by the Federal Bridge Certificate Authority.
